Pancha Bootha Sthalam

The five elements of nature are also known as Pancha Bhoota. In Ayurveda and Indian philosophy, the human body is also made up of these five elements. 

The five temples are one in Andhra Pradesh & and four in Tamil Nadu

The five temples

• Ekambareswarar Temple (Tamil Nadu)

  Located in Kanchipuram, this temple represents the element of earth. The temple's sanctum sanctorum houses a Prithvi Lingam.
Jambukeshwarar Temple (Tamil Nadu)
Located in Thiruvanaikaval, near Trichy, this temple represents the element of water. The temple houses a Varuna Lingam, also known as the Jambu Lingam. 
Arunachaleswara Temple (Tamil Nadu)
Represents the element of fire. 
SriKalahasti Temple (Andhra Pradesh)
Located in Srikalahasti, Andhra Pradesh, this temple represents the element of air. The temple houses a Vayu Lingam. 
Thillai Nataraja Temple (Tamil Nadu)
Located in Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, this temple represents the element of ether. The temple is home to the Natarajar Temple, which depicts Lord Shiva as a cosmic dancer. 

2010

Don’t want to pass this year without any posting. So here is it on the last day of the year, posting on some travel logs in year 2010. Over all a fantastic year lots of up and downs, the best part is I’m staying with my family. Visited Rameswaram, Madurai, Haridwar, Allahabad, Varanasi, Gaya, Kedharnath, Badarinath, Delhi and Atlanta

First trial on Light room

This is my first trial on light room. Not sure how it turns out to be, but want to try more. Off late trying to get back to Photography. Thanks to Suhair for letting me know about this tool. I need to organize the pictures I had taken and I hope light room will make this easy. I need to spend a good time on my collection, only time can answer if I'm able to make it or not

After a long time

Growing old @ Garage - an historical place

As the tradition goes even on this birthday also I’m out of the country. With loads of meeting to attend I did make my day a very special day. I received some sweets & flowers from my wife and a cake from Hari’s family and last but not the least loads of wishes from all of them.

Ok here goes a bit of history about HP, after graduating from Stanford University in 1934, Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard with the encouragement of Stanford professor and mentor Fred Terman, the two decide to start a business, Hewlett-Packard Company is founded January 1, 1939 with a coin toss.

This is the historic Garage where they manufactured their first product and started their business and then the history goes on.
Another historic day the city Palo Alto was founded on this day 16th April some time in 18th Century

So far in America

I landed here in the US of A, a couple of weeks ago in San Diego, Jet lag really took a toll on me and it took some time for me to catch up. Added to it had to attend a lot of meetings. The first weekend was kind of not so good, had lot of things to catch up. The first weekend traveled to San Diego beach.

Ok then the 2 weekend was promising but I had to travel to San Jose. So on a nice Saturday morning I decided to travel to Universal Studios – Hollywood. It’s an amazing place with loads of fun.

Then I flew to San Jose and here again loads of meeting. So one night I suddenly decided will drive to San Francisco. The drive was lovely and we went pass through the Golden Gate (bridge) and lost our way, then drove back with some of the instructions provided to me earlier on how to drive in North America.

Driving lessons:
# North / South roads connect different states
# East / West runs on freeway with Interstate
# Odd / even road number has some significance and then having the exists also numbered in the similar manner as well

Ok after so many lessons you are still bound to get lost if you are little adventurous, so here comes a handy GPS based navigation, this is an excellent way to navigate in US of A & in Europe as well.

Ok during one of the two weekends of my stay in San Jose along with Anu & Hari’s family we ventured out to Monterey and Big Sur. A very nice drive is on the CA 1 S. Couple of pictures are attached here.

I had to drive on a chill Sunday early morning, as usual I put on my head set and was listening to Radio Indigo, I happeded to listen to the world music hour and the music played is amazigly good. U can listen to the Putumayo world music hour on thier web site http://www.putumayo.com/

Taj Mahal rejects US dollar

Tourists visiting 27 World Heritage Listed sites in India, including the Taj Mahal, will no longer be able to pay in dollars after it was announced Tuesday that the flailing currency was not welcome.
The new payment will cost tourists up to one-third more. Where tickets for the Taj Mahal and other World Heritage Listed sites had previously been set at $5, the new price of 250 rupees converts to approximately $6.40. Indian residents, however, are extended a discounted rate of 20 rupees to visit their national sites

New 7 wonders of the world campaign - FAKE ONE

In order to avoid any damaging confusion, UNESCO wishes to reaffirm that there is no link whatsoever between UNESCO’s World Heritage programme, which aims to protect world heritage, and the current campaign concerning “The New 7 Wonders of the World”.

Vegetarian - then u can eat Mars or Twix in future

Some of the UK's best-selling chocolate bars, such as Mars and Twix, will no longer be suitable for vegetarians, Also affecting brands such as Snickers and Maltesers, owner Masterfoods said it had started to use animal product rennet to make its chocolate products.

Masterfoods said it had started using rennet from 1 May and non-affected products had a "best before date" up to 1 October.
