Taj Mahal rejects US dollar
Tourists visiting 27 World Heritage Listed sites in India, including the Taj Mahal, will no longer be able to pay in dollars after it was announced Tuesday that the flailing currency was not welcome.
The new payment will cost tourists up to one-third more. Where tickets for the Taj Mahal and other World Heritage Listed sites had previously been set at $5, the new price of 250 rupees converts to approximately $6.40. Indian residents, however, are extended a discounted rate of 20 rupees to visit their national sites

The search ends here MP3-player with FM tuner option
What’s new is what u can ask for? It's built-in buddy. Although this functionality is available for other MP3 players, it comes in the form of add-ons and kits, so to have this technology built-in could be a real bonus to users who would value this hassle-free way of getting their tunes on their car stereo.

Why do we do this?
Ever wondered after finishing a meal in a nice restaurant before you get your bill, there is something called a feedback form handed over to you. We take effort to fill up all the questions asked and in the end nothing happens. Have you ever wondered what happens to the feedback provided? Ok now to another point, do u know the largest deposits of urine are in the 'saunf' aka 'Indian Mouth Freshener'

5-Second Rule - If u drop it
This is amazing result - If You Drop It, Should You Eat It? Scientists Weigh In on the 5-Second Rule u can eat it.
A little history to it:
According to Clarke, a senior at the Chicago High School for Agricultural Sciences, the 5-second rule dates back to the time of Genghis Khan, who first determined how long it was safe for food to remain on a floor when dropped there. Khan had slightly lower standards, however; he specified 12 hours, more or less
Among Clarke's findings more intresting are here:
--Women are more likely than men to eat food that's been on the floor.
--Cookies and candy are much more likely to be picked up and eaten than cauliflower or broccoli.

Ever wondered why women spend so much on grooming
A woman was walking down the street when she was accosted by a homeless woman who asked her for a couple of dollars for dinner. The woman took out her billfold, extracted ten dollars and asked, "If I give you this money, will you buy some wine with it instead of dinner?" "No," I had to stop drinking years ago, the homeless woman replied.
"Will you use it to go shopping instead of buying food?" the woman asked.
"No," I don't waste time shopping, the homeless woman said. "I need to spend all my time trying to stay alive."
"Will you spend this on a beauty salon instead of food?" the woman asked.
"Are you NUTS!" replied the homeless woman. "I haven't had my hair done in 20 years!"
"Well," said the woman, "I'm not going to give you the money. Instead, I'm going to take you out for dinner with my hubby and myself tonight.
The homeless Woman was astounded. "Won't your husband be furious with you for doing that? I know I'm dirty, and I probably smell pretty disgusting." The woman replied, "That's okay, it's important for him to see what a woman looks like after she has given up shopping, hair appointments and wine!"

Blood test
Recently a nephew who is 7+ of age had to undergo some blood test. A small syringe was inserted into his nerve and then the sample was collected. One full syringe of blood was extracted out of his body. He was petrified with the realization that one whole syringe of blood is lost from his body; with loads of concern he approaches his grand-mom and asks will they return the balance blood after the tests are over? He was even more shocked to know that it will not be returned and he had a worried face, to console him his grand-mom told him don’t worry the lost blood will be generated in your body in a few days. He promptly goes and checks his weight without others knowledge. After a month one fine day he comes to his grand-mom and says my weight is still the same, the lost blood is gone saying this he start crying

Mice brain
Have u ever seen this before, nor do I? A niece of mine once was along with my cousin in a park and picks up a seed/nut of some berry, and looks at the lines on that and stares at it and makes this statement saying that this is the brain of the mice.
Interested in vegetarianism
Every one interested in vegetarianism and has this question. "Have we to kill living beings to survive? With 'living beings', I mean animals and plants. Isn't a plant a living being?"
Satvic eating so that you do not kill the plant or tree or bush. For instance, berries. You can pick berries but you do not kill the berry bush. You can pick fruit and you do not kill the fruit tree. You can pick everything that grows above the ground, but you do not kill. For instance, picking lettuce leaves, you do not have to kill the lettuce plant. You can pick the leaves that are ready to be picked as well as many, many other green vegetables. This is the ideal way to live. That eliminates then the root vegetables such as carrots and potatoes and so forth. Those that really like to eat root vegetables will pick a potato and then plant the eye of the potato and grow another potato. Takes a lot of keeping track of, to know how many potatoes to grow. But, it is a matter of conscience and a matter of who you are on the evolutionary path.
I remember many people say when you are on fasting or do some sort of varath people don’t recommend not to eat vegetable which are grown under the ground – root vegetables.

Some strange logic
During one of the early morning drives in B’lore, the following observation made was very interesting, quite a few vehicles were involved in the accident. There have all run over the median and the intensity of the accident can be felt when u look at the length of the median covered by the vehicle. So to conclude what we can say is the length of the median covered during the accident is directly proportional to size of the vehicle :-)

I SEE YOU - 2007
New year wishes to all, Started of this new year with a very happy note, spent time with the loved ones and then had a great time in Hyderabad. This is one city which has loads of secrets; every time I visit I discover new places, with the changing time Hyderabad is really catching up, by retaining the “fix your eyes on old things”. I remember since my childhood I have made many a trips to Hyderabad, This is one city that never fails to live up to the excitement that I carry and look to explore. I watched “I SEE YOU” by Vivek Agarwal, it’s a movie u need to watch with light heart. I was really enjoying the movie, for one I was glued to the screen that too for a Hindi movie. Best things about this movie is the Raj Jaiswal (Rampal) walks through the market along with Shivani (Vipasha) and feels the place through her eyes. This is an amazing aspect of the movie which is well captured. Let me warn you, its not a movie for everyone.
